1938 LaSalle Convertible 4 Door Sedan. 1938 was the first year for GM to offer the column mounted shifter. The top is manual and can be raised or lowered with the help of a friend.
The following information was provided by the vehicle owner. This is one of 265 LaSalle 5 passenger convertible sedans ever produced and this rare convertible sedan spent most of its life in California and its history can be trace back to 1960.
The car has been restored twice in its life, the first time in the lat 90s by Pilgrims body off frame restoration specialist in Lakeport, California and the last time by Mayer Restorations of Bluffton Indiana. The last restoration took 1,200 hours, was a frame off restoration including and engine rebuild in 2010 at a cost of 102,234.00.
Owner claims this is probably the finest 1938 LaSalle Convertible Sedan on the planet.
