Description
1966 C2 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible
The 1966 Corvette, second generation C2, presented General Motors with another record setting sales year with 27,720 of the vehicles being sold. The appearance of the front of the car was altered a little bit with an egg crate grille insert and a Corvette emblem was now found in the front corner of the hood. The 1966 was a very popular automobile as was the large big block V8 that was available. The popular 427 cubic inch V8 had a rated horsepower of 430 with 460 pound feet of torque. It is suggested that these power ratings were understated on purpose and the 427 was more likely at least 450 horsepower. In any event these high horsepower high torque V8s would move the Corvette down the road in a most brisk manner.
Automotive photos look great displayed in a den, family room, office, garage, auto service shop waiting rooms, tire stores, parts stores, hot rod shops and upholstery shops.
