Artist's Description
1956 Studebaker Sky Hawk Coupe
This particular 1956 Studebaker Sky Hawk Hardtop Coupe was a National First Prize Winner, W8379, awarded by the Antique Automobile Club Of America in 1998.
The Sky Hawk was produced for the 1956 model year only by the Studebaker-Packard Corporation and was a two door hardtop coupe with no pillar. The Sky Hawk was a model that was between the flagship Golden Hawks and Power Hawk coupe with a pillar and was part of the Studebaker President series of automobiles. The Sky Hawks did not have as much chrome, no real fins, slightly less upgraded interiors and used the Presidents 289 cubic inch V8 that produced 210 horsepower. An optional 225 horsepower engine was available for the Sky Hawks as well. Produced for only the 1956 model year, there were 3.050 Sky Hawks manufactured.
Automotive photos look great displayed in a den, family room, office, garage, auto service shop waiting rooms, tire stores, parts stores, hot rod shops and upho...
