Description
1937 Chevrolet Two Door Sedan
This beautiful 1937 Chevrolet Two Door Sedan has been restored to a very high quality level and is powered by a mild yet powerful Chevrolet V8 engine sending power to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission. This car is painted in a somewhat soft PPG Ditzler Cameo Coral (70455) finish that was available on Ford automobiles in 1954.
It was not since 1929 that Chevrolet had done any major retooling and major design work until they released the beautiful 1937 model at a cost of 26 million dollars to get all of the design and retool work finished. Jules Agramonte, designer of the outstanding and gorgeous 1934 LaSalle, was the driving force behind the designing of the 1937 Chevrolet automobile. The 1937 Chevy had a body crease the began in the valley between the front fender and the engine compartment and continued at an angle across the cowl and the front door. Referred to as a diamond crown speedline, this styling treatment was a trend setting highlight. A newer and much stronger box girder frame that was introduced in 1936 was used on the 1937 models, the bodies were wider and had more interior room and were made completely out of steel.
Automotive photos look great displayed in a den, family room, office, garage, auto service shop waiting rooms, tire stores, parts stores, hot rod shops and upholstery shops. If you are not interested in one of these photos for yourself do not forget about your friends or other family members that have an interest in the automotive field. Photos make marvelous gifts and are suitable for numerous occasions ! ! !
