Description
1956 Lincoln Premiere Convertible Sedan
From 1956 to 1960, Lincoln sold a luxury car model called the Premiere that was positioned just below the Continental Mark II in the 1956 and 1957 production years and an upscale version of the Capri model that it was based on from 1956 to 1959. The Premiere was available in two and four door models in either a hardtop or convertible configuration.
Introduced in 1956, the Premiere was powered by a 368 cubic inch (6.0L) Lincoln Y-Block V8 engine, was about 223 inches length and weighed 4,357 pounds. The Premiere sedan was considered a mid-level vehicle under the Continental Mark models until it was finally replaced in 1961 with the Continental sedan.
