Description
1949 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe 2 Door Sedan
This really neat looking old school customized 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe 2 Door Sedan sits just about one inch off the ground at the rear when the air bags are deflated. This great looking custom Chevy had the roof line lowered about eight inches at the front window and about six inches taken out of the back of the roof and then blended back into the rear deck lid lines. Two large spotlights at the front and four bullet taillights at the back help to finish this little jewel off.
Sinister is the name given to this beautiful custom vehicle and the name is proudly displayed on the right rear of the trunk deck.
Chevy redesigned the Fleetline models with a reduced body contour with integrated rear fenders and offered it for sale from 1949 and 1952.The fastback styled Chevy Fleetline sedan was the only model offered by Chevrolet from 1949 to 1952 with the Fleetline model being dropped in 1953. This car was often called a fastback model due to its distinct roofline slope that extended through to the rear trunk deck. The 1949 to 1951 models had a somewhat lower look to them due to the windshield being about one inch shorter that the standard sedan. These cars were available in either two or four door versions, are somewhat collectible with many of them being turned into streets rods of varying degree and commonly found with a Chevrolet 350 V8 and automatic transmission as part of the drivetrain.
