1953 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck
This 1953 Ford F-100 V8 pickup truck is still pulling daily duties and is pretty much a stock vehicle that has been maintained nicely over the years. No doubt this truck will continue to earn its keep for several years to come.
The Ford F-Series of pickup trucks began in 1948, includes full sized pickup truck, cab chassis and some commercial vehicles. The 1953 Ford F-100 is a second generation of the F-Series of trucks and encompasses the years 1953 through 1956. The 1953 F-100 presented an all new version of the series, increased dimensions, improved engines and an updated and improved chassis were a few of the new features coming with the second generation of trucks. The 1953 F-100 was the last year that the flathead engine was used in the United States. A new 239 cubic inch overhead valve V8 Y block was available and the six cylinder engines size was increased to 223 cubic inches and power steering was available as an option.
