Description
1961 Buick
Electra 225
Convertible
The 1961 Buicks no longer had those very tall tailfins and seemingly endless amounts of chrome work. The outward appearance of the 1961 Buicks really did not share much from its ancestors.
The fins were gone and in their place was a squared off rear quarter on the car with fairly normal horizontal taillights. The whole automobile now had a somewhat more square business look that Buick called The Clean Look Of Action.
The front fenders still sported the portholes, three of them on the LeSabre and Invicta models and four of them on the luxury Electra and Electra 225 models. The front fenders now ended in a point like contour and matched the bumper tips below. The sculpturing on the side of the body was now not as deep as it used to be but retained its integral part of the design scheme. The windshield, that was quite severely wrapped in style, was replaced by a much milder shape. In comparison to the Buicks of the recent past this new 1961 Buick could be said by some to be downright plain in visual appearance
Automotive photos look great displayed in a den, family room, office, garage, auto service shop waiting rooms, tire stores, parts stores, hot rod shops and upholstery shops. If you are not interested in one of these photos for yourself do not forget about your friends or other family members that have an interest in the automotive field. Photos make marvelous gifts and are suitable for numerous occasions ! ! !
