1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS 396

This 1967 Camaro SS/RS 396 has the Camaro Z/28 hood striping applied, the SS/RS option package was available as a duo option if desired. Part of the RS option package included the hidden headlights, different taillights, back up lights under the bumper and exterior rocker trim. For 1967 the Chevrolet Camaro utilized the same subframe semi-unibody as that of the 1968 Chevy II Nova. The 1967 Super Sport included a standard 350 cubic inch V8 and had options for two 396 cubic inch V8s, the L35 and the L78 versions. The L35 396 produced 325 horsepower and the L78 396 produced 375 horsepower. The 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is part of the first generation series of the Camaro, the first generation Camro was produced from 1966 until late 1969. A total of 99,855 units of the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro were produced, 64,842 were RS models, 34,411 were SS models and only 602 of those produced came as Z/28s.
