The Peace River Bridge at Arcadia, Florida was constructed in 1925, is a reinforced concrete arch bridge that has a span of 201 feet. This very efficiently designed bridge was constructed for a cost of 25,500.00. This historical bridge has been abandoned for many years and serves as a pedestrian only pathway and also carries a utility pipeline over the river. Aside from being closed to vehicular traffic, the removal of the original lampposts, the need for general repair and maintenance this bridge has retained its historical appearance. The Peace River Bridge played a very important role in the transportation history of the Peace River area
