Rapid City Historic District Home
The West Boulevard Historic District, located in Rapid City, South Dakota, is a highly treasured neighborhood and is widely acknowledged for its very unique character. The homes are high quality and quite diverse, nice sidewalks, landscaped yards and the canopied Boulevard make walking around in the neighborhood a most enjoyable experience. The West Boulevard Historic District was listed on the National Register in 1974. Construction of homes in the district range from 1878 to 1945 and contain a mixture of Queen Anne, American Foursquare, Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, Prairie, Minimal Traditional, Mission, Gothic Revival, Folk Victorian, and Craftsman Bungalow architecture. Some of these homes are quite large and elaborate residences that were built for very wealthy business owners in the Rapid City area.
