1930 Ford Model A Fordor Town Sedan
The Ford Model A, built from 1927 to 1931, was a followup success story to the Ford Motor Company Model T series that was in production for 18 years. One million 1929 Model A Fords had been sold and reached two million sales the same year by July 24th. By March of 1930 sales of the Model A reached the three million mark and nine different body style were available to order.
The production of the Model A Ford came to an end in March of 1932 and was being replaced by the Model B with a new updated 4 cylinder engine and by the Model 18 which came with the new Ford flathead V8 engine. At the end of production the Model A had reached the 4,858,644 units produced mark across all of the body style that were available.
Model A production ended in March, 1932, after 4,858,644 had been made in all body styles. Its successor was the Model B, which featured an updated 4-cylinder engine, as well as the Model 18, which introduced Ford's new flathead (sidevalve) V8 engine.
