Description
Historic 1800s Valentine House
The beautiful and historic 2,700 square foot Valentine two story house, built in the late 1800s, was saved from demolition when it was moved to the Manatee County Robinson Preserve, in Bradenton, Florida in 2007. The large coastal preserve consists of 487 acres and this gorgeous house is now used as a visitor center and a historical resource. This house was moved from its original location via a barge and moved into it final resting place on the Robinson Preserve.
The fantastic structure is indeed a classic Old Florida two story structure that will continue to be enjoyed for many years to come welcoming all visitors to the Preserve. The house is of the vernacular style of architecture, is painted in Wedgewood Blue and with its metal roof shining in the sun is quite striking in its natural Florida surroundings.
